What's Good, Homeboy

Chris Maher is a multimedia director, designer, illustrator, animator, and voice-over artist currently based in Boston— brought up on cartoons, music, games, and everything else that rots your brain.

A freelance jack-of-all-trades for over a decade, Chris specializes in motion design, graphic design, cel animation, compositing, commercial and character voice-over, and more, all with a handcrafted and authentic approach and feel. Inspired by everything, always learning and adapting, and consistently building bridges for community and collaboration, Chris constantly goes above and beyond for his community, his clients, and for the work he delivers.

While operating as a freelancer, Chris also leads organizational efforts for multiple creative communities. He is a head organizer of MOTION in MASS, a motion-media community and public resource for motion designers, animators, filmmakers, audio engineers, voice-over artists, and all others who fall under the motion-media umbrella in the Massachusetts area, of all levels of experience. He serves as one of the organizers behind the Boston Drink and Doodle, hosting public events across Boston, more often now with 100+ in attendance. Additionally, he served as events organizer for the Bay State Design Shop, running its monthly Drink and Draws for over two years.

He is also an accomplished voice-over artist, most notably serving as the In-Game Announcer for the popular platform fighting game Rivals of Aether 2, developed by Aether Studios and published by Offbrand Games, of which he also served as Senior Video Producer. He mains Absa, by the way.

He spends his time cooking, taking long walks throughout the city of Boston, building multi-hour-long playlists on Spotify, and being just okay at PC gaming.
